Nevada Secretary of State Ross Miller and Superintendent of Public Instruction James Guthrie invite all Nevada students, teachers, and parents to participate in this year’s Mock Election program. This year, the Secretary of State’s office is again partnering with the Nevada Department of Education to develop and encourage the next generation of American voters by providing them with the opportunity to learn how to participate in the electoral process by voting for real candidates during a simulated election process. Why? The My Service, My Citizenship project is a comprehensive, interactive, cross-curricular program designed by the Secretary of State's office in partnership with the Nevada Department of Education. The program is designed to educate all Nevada students about the electoral process in the State of Nevada. The project consists of one main activity: The Mock Election Day.
