(Carson City, NV; September 9, 2013) – In honor of September, National Voter Registration Month, Secretary of State Ross Miller offers an easily downloadable toolkit for businesses to encourage employees to register to vote in time for the 2014 elections.

“Leaders in the business community are in a position to guide by example and to educate employees, colleagues, family and friends about voter registration requirements and deadlines,” said Miller. “I encourage Nevada businesses to download the toolkit and inform their employees about the importance of registering to vote.”

The customizable voter registration toolkits provide readily available information, posters, and ideas to promote registration activities, requirements, and deadlines. National Voter Registration Month is an opportunity to encourage registration among the 33% of estimated Nevadans of voting age who are eligible but not yet registered to vote. With online voter registration available statewide at www.RegisterToVoteNV.gov, the Secretary of State’s office is making it easier and faster than ever before to register to vote and be part of the democratic process.

Toolkits are available in both English and Spanish in the Elections Center of the Secretary of State’s website, www.nvsos.gov, or by clicking here. Call (775) 684-5705 or email nvelect@sos.nv.gov with questions or for more information.
