Final 2014 Primary Election Early Voting Turnout Statistics Available on Secretary of State’s Website

(Carson City, NV; June 9, 2014) – Final early voting turnout statistics for the 2014 primary election are now posted on Secretary of State website at http://www.nvsos.gov/index.aspx?page=1472.  

Between May 24 and June 6, a total of 128,652 (11.15%) registered voters cast their ballots early, surpassing the percentage of registered voters casting early ballots in the 2012 primary election. The total number breaks down to 47,259 Democrats (37%), 66,633 Republicans (52%), and 14,760 voters registered to other parties (11%).

The following number and percentages of active registered voters cast their ballots early during the previous primary elections:

2012 primary election: 96,455 (9.11%)
2010 primary election: 138,204 (12.98%)
2008 primary election: 76,577 (7.3%)

A total of 1,153,522 active voters are registered in Nevada. Polls open at 7 a.m. and close at 7 p.m. tomorrow, June 10, Primary Election Day.
