Secretary of State Releases June Voter Registration Numbers

Republicans registered at double the rate of Democrats
(Carson City, NV; July 2, 2010) – The number of active registered voters in Nevada jumped by nearly 13,000 between the close of registration for the primary election on May 18 and the end of June, according to numbers compiled by Secretary of State Ross Miller’s office. Republican ranks rose by 6,493 or 1.65% for a total of 398,898, and the number of registered Democrats went up by 3,722 or .8% for a total of 456,672.
Independent American Party rolls rose at the same 1.65% rate as the Republicans, from 44,652 to 45,391. Non-Partisan rolls increased by 1% to a total of 163,816. Statewide, the total number of active registered voters increased by 1.2% to 1,077,370.
