(Carson City, NV – February 19, 2010) –. Secretary of State Ross Miller’s Elections Division today released a list of 13 minor party and independent candidates who have qualified to appear on the 2010 ballot in a variety of races. All 13 candidates are also required to file Declarations of Candidacy during the March 1 – March 12 filing period.

Minor party and independent candidates must gather a required number of signatures from registered Nevada voters in order to qualify for the ballot. The number of required signatures varies depending on the office sought. Four individuals filed petitions of candidacy, but failed to gather enough valid signatures. Their names will not appear on the ballot.

Candidates listed as Independent will appear on the ballots as "Non-Partisan" candidates.
