(Carson City, NV; April 5, 2011) – Republicans and Democrats joined the active voter ranks in nearly identical numbers in March; 1,818 new Democrats and 1,796 new Republicans. An additional 1,281 Non-Partisans were added to the rolls last month, when all other party registrations totaled fewer than 600. The total number of active registered voters at the end of March was 1,119,021, an increase of 5,473 voters over the previous month.

Clark County rolls grew by 3,810 voters, including 1,542 Democrats and 1,065 Republicans. Douglas County recorded the second largest increase after reactivating voters who had provided updated address information.
