(Carson City, NV; June 6, 2012) – Nevada Secretary of State Ross Miller is reminding candidates that the deadline to file the second campaign contribution and expense (C&E) report of the year is end of the day Friday, June 8, 2012. All C&E Reports are to be filed electronically through the Secretary of State’s Aurora campaign finance disclosure database, and will then be immediately available on the website to the general public. The Aurora system is accessible through the Nevada Secretary of State’s website, www.nvsos.gov.

“The use of the Aurora and the requirement for all C&E Reports to be filed electronically in one common database brings a new level of transparency to our process,” said Secretary Miller.

C&E Report #2, to be filed by June 8, 2012, will cover campaign contributions and expenses from May 19, 2012 through June 7, 2012. Filing deadlines for the remainder of 2012 election cycle are:

C&E Report #3: October 16, 2012 (for the period of June 8 through October 12)

C&E Report #4: November 2, 2012 (for the period of October 13 through November 1)

C&E Report #5: January 15, 2013 (for the period of November 2 through December 31)
