(Carson City, NV; September 4, 2012) – Numbers released today by Secretary of State Ross Miller’s Elections Division show Democrats registered more than twice as many voters than Republicans in August.
Democrats registered 12,163 active voters, while Republicans registered 5,042 active voters. Active registered nonpartisans increased by 6,575 during the same time period. Of the 1,122,236 active registered voters statewide, 41.28% (463,229) are Democrats, 36.31% (407,513) are Republicans, and 16.66% (186,941) are nonpartisans.
Online voter registration is now available in all counties but Douglas, which is expected to have access to the system this week. For more information about registering to vote online, visit www.registertovotenv.gov.
