Democrats Continue to Outpace Republicans in Nevada Voter Registration
Secretary of State Ross Miller Reminds Nevadans there is still time to Register for the November Presidential Election

(Carson City, NV; October 1, 2012) – Numbers released today by Secretary of State Ross Miller’s Elections Division show Democrats registered more than twice as many voters than Republicans in September.

Democrats registered 30,377 active voters, while Republicans registered 14,532 active voters. Active registered nonpartisans increased by 15,240 during the same time period. Of the 1,187,238 active registered voters statewide, 41.58% (493,606) are Democrats, 35.55% (422,045) are Republicans, and 17.03% (202,181) are nonpartisans.

Secretary Miller reminds Nevadans that online voter registration is now available in all Nevada counties, but the deadline for online registration is midnight, Saturday October 6th. The deadline for registering by mail is also Saturday October 6th. The deadline for registering in person at your respective county clerk or registrar’s office is October 16th.
