Voter Registration Numbers Continue to Decrease for All But One Party in July

(Carson City, NV; August 1, 2013) – In a continuation of last month’s figures, all parties but the Libertarian Party saw a decrease in voter registration numbers at the end of July 2013, as shown by data released today by Secretary of State Ross Miller’s Elections Division. The number of statewide registered active voters decreased by 2,175 from the previous month.

Of the 1,258,214 active registrants statewide, 42.10% (529,713) are Democrats, 34.33% (431,909) are Republicans, 17.57% (221,017) are nonpartisan, 4.68% (58,908) are members of the Independent American Party, and the remaining 1.32% (16,667) are members of the Libertarian or other minor parties.
