(Carson City, NV; April 17, 2014) — Instant notification of filed and amended campaign finance reports is now available on Aurora, Nevada’s campaign finance disclosure system. Secretary of State Ross Miller’s office today launched the redesign of Aurora, which allows for interested parties to subscribe for notices from particular candidates and groups as soon as they file contribution and expense (C&E) reports and financial disclosure statements (FDS).

To receive an email notification when a candidate submits or amends a report, choose the “Follow this Candidate/Group” option next to the individual’s or group’s name. The system update also includes newly designed pages that allow users to more easily search and view campaign finance data. Individuals and groups filing reports will also find increased functionality and usability in the system redesign.

“As Nevada’s chief elections officer, I am dedicated to transparent elections,” said Miller. “A healthy, vital democracy requires well-informed voters, and Aurora offers voters the opportunity to get more information more quickly, and consequently make better-informed decisions at the polls.”

Launched in January 2012, Aurora provides Nevada voters with the opportunity to be better informed by accessing the user-friendly, searchable database for all campaign and public officer finance disclosures. Aurora provides illumination as to how campaigns and our elected representatives are funded.

Aurora is and will continue to be a technological build completed solely by the Secretary of State’s IT staff at no additional cost to taxpayers. Aurora can be accessed directly through the Secretary of State’s homepage at
