Number of Active Non-Partisan Voters Continues to Climb

Fewer active Republicans are registered to vote in Nevada
in October compared to September

(Carson City, NV – November 4, 2009) – More people registered as Non-Partisan voters as all the other parties combined last month, according to the latest numbers of active voters issued today by Secretary of State Ross Miller’s office. There were 184,276 registered Non-Partisans at the end of September and 184,632 at the end of October, an increase of 356 voters.

The number of registered Democrats increased by 182, Independent Americans increased by 102, Libertarians by 19 and the number of Green Party members increased by five. The number of registered Republicans dropped by 116 voters, from 425, 751 in September to 425,635 in October.
A total of 1,197,252 Nevadans were registered to vote at the end of last month compared to 1,196,727 at the end of September, an increase of 525 active voters.
