(Carson City, NV; October 6, 2011) – Nevada Secretary of State Ross Miller today filed an emergency motion with the Nevada Supreme Court requesting that the Court issue a limited stay which would prohibit the Special Masters from beginning to draw redistricting maps pending a determination of the legal issues identified in the Secretary of State’s petition, while allowing them to continue with the already scheduled public hearings.

The Secretary of State’s office will have no further comment on the motion until the matter has been heard by the court.
