Secretary Cegavske Announces an Increase in Active Registered Voters in July

(Carson City, NV; August 1, 2017) – Nevada Secretary of State Barbara Cegavske reports an increase of 5,955 active registered voters statewide during the month of July 2017, as compared to June 2017.  The total number of active registered voters in Nevada is 1,478,214, an increase of 0.40% from the prior month.

Democratic Party active registered voters increased statewide by 1,218 (0.21%), Republican Party active registered voters increased statewide by 1,574 (0.32%), Nonpartisan active registered voters increased statewide by 1,823 (0.59%), Libertarian active registered voters increased statewide by 133 (0.96%), Independent American active registered voters increased statewide by 412 (0.63%), and active registered voters from a compilation of “other” minor political parties increased statewide by 795 (4.46%).

Of the 1,478,214 active registered voters in Nevada:

• 579,848 are Democrats (39.23%);

• 489,265 are Republicans (33.10%);

• 310,993 are Nonpartisan (21.04%);

• 65,448 are members of the Independent American Party (4.43%);

• 14,046 are members of the Libertarian Party of Nevada (0.95%); and

• 18,614 are members of other minor political parties (1.26%).
